"My daughter and I did an overnight tour to Takayama and Shiragawa organised by Yuki san. Takayama is lovely but a bit touristy and he went out of his way to show us other aspects of the old town which we appreciated. We also fined very well on Hida beef at a very new and excellent restaurant he sought out. Very reasonable price and amazing food. Yuki is fluent, patient and fun. I would recommend him to any traveller. Thank you Yuki. Lynne and Stacey"

"We thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour by Yuki to hakone. Yuki was very responsive with our enquiries prior to our trip and took initiative to provide updates for the trip. He was very attentive and flexible and provide us with different options and suggestion to ensure we have a pleasant trip. Thanks to his recommendation, we had one of the best soba in japan! We will surely recommend him to anyone who may be looking for a guide."

"Yuki was a wonderful and very knowledgeable guide. He was on time, spoke great English and is very polite and fun. He was very accommodating to our schedule, showed us the ropes with public transportation; took us to a great place for lunch and even hunted down a very special item we were looking for. Thank you Yuki!"

"Yuki worked very hard to make sure our group of 5 could visit the three gardens we had planned to see as well as the outer fish market and the Akihabara area. Yuki helped us order lunch in a restaurant and made sure we returned safely back to our hotel at the end of the day. "

"I took a tour with Yuki a year ago. And, again, this October with three friends who were experiencing their first Japan visit. Friends from Cape Town commented that Tsukiji Outer Market tour with Yuki was one of their highlights and sent me a photo of their Japanese culinary equipment acquisitions, including the beautiful Japanese knife purchased with the help of Yuki. Thank you very much, Yuki, for your friendly, fun and educational 1/2-day tour. Best regards. Mickey"

"It was my family trip and also first time to Tokyo. We decided to engage a guide in order to maximize our time. We are fortunate to have Yuki as our tour guide. He is patient, punctual, knowledgeable and flexible. We encountered typhoon during our trip and also raining. We are so worried that we might not able to go our desired destinations as scheduled. He adjusted our itinerary based on weather and planned the day to ensure we had experience and tried his very best to cover the destinations we had chosen. Very professional guide and did not disappoint us. He recommended to visit Digital Art Museum which was not included in our itinerary and also helped us to buy tickets. My daughter enjoyed it very much. He also took us to one of his favourite spot to eat sushi for lunch. The quality is good and delicious. Overall, we had a wonderful time with him. Highly recommended! Thank you, Yuki! "

"It was our first visit to Japan and we were a little daunted by the language barrier as we only speak English at home. We are from Australia and were looking forward to our upcoming holiday in Japan when we decided to find out if we could get a guide to assist us early in our trip. That way we hopefully would have a grasp of how to use the train system in Japan along with any information for interacting with the locals. Yuki was a great guide for us and he was very freindly, helpful and patient with our two kids, particularly our 3 year old as the days could be quite long for the little ones. We found Yuki on Triplelights and we could not have been happier with another guide. Yuki was professional , punctual and very friendly. Yuki was very good and keeping us updated on his travel itinerary that he made up for us over the two days we selected to be with him, providing us with clear guides on where we would be going to visit, how we would be getting there along with prices for each activity planned so we knew the prices upfront. We were happy with the locations Yuki selected for our family to see so we felt no need to change anything. It was very helpfull being with Yuki for us as we would have struggled trying to buy tickets for the bullet train or any of the trains really as we needed to be comfortable using those to get around Tokyo and the other cities we were wanting to see. Yuki picked us up from our hotel lobby in Tokyo the day after we landed and from there we had a taxi ride to Tokyo train station where Yuki showed us how to buy an IC card and also purchase tickets on the bullet train to Kyoto. A number of hours later we arrived at Kyoto where we went on to visit several great locations including the Bamboo Forrest, Sanjusangen-Do Temple, Fushimi Shrine, Kinkaku-Ji Temple, Nijo Castle and a Maiko show. Yuki went into detail at each location talking about the local history and talked about the local customs and specific details for what we were looking at in each of those locations. For dinner Yuki took us to a fantastic resutrant showcasing Japanese food, where our 10 year old son was brave enough to eat Sashimi which he enjoyed. The whole experience was great and memorable. Overall I would recommend Yuki to anyone thinking of a guide to use, he was great and definitely left a great impression with our family, our 3 year old still points to Yuki in the photos we took and giggles saying his name and our 10 year old son also speaks fondly of Yuki. Thanks for the time you spent with us Yuki All the very best "

"Yuki was an excellent guide for my whirlwind discovery of life and places in Tokyo and Kyoto Japan. My journey started with Yuki in Tokyo where we visited several locations introducing me to life past and present in Tokyo. He also gave me an exposure to the vast transportation system in Tokyo. I feel that I can now do more discoveries when I again visit Tokyo. Yuki and I started our Kyoto journey by riding the bullet train from Tokyo Station to Kyoto. This ride gave me a quick view of urban and rural Japan. Once in Kyoto Yuki took me on a path of discovery. We explored many examples of the Edo period of Japans history. Temples, castles, gardens and forests along with several unique culinary delights made the two days in Kyoto memorable. The hotel in Kyoto with an onsen bath was greatly appreciated after several days of exploration. I look forward to future explorations of the beautiful and exciting Japan and will look up Yuki to be my companion for guidance. "

"We wanted to visit Nissan Heritage Collection in Zama, because I‘m a big fan of all the cars from Nissan and its history. It requires an interpreter to visit the museum if you don‘t speak Japanese, so I contacted Yuki about this special tour. I told Yuki what we wanted and he organized everything. He contacted the museum, booked the tour and sent me the schedule. I told Yuki that this is OK and confirmed the tour. One week before the tour Yuki contacted me and told me where he will wait for us. On the day of the tour he called us in our hotel room when he arrived in our hotel and picked us up. At first we went in a traditional inconspicuous restaurant, where we had the best and lunch we’ve had the last two weeks here in Japan, and that for little money. After the lunch we continued our trip to the museum. At the museum we had a short introduction and then had a look at all the cars together. Yuki took some photos of us in front of several cars and he told as something about the history of Japan, which was very interesting. At the end we had an interesting talk about several facts about Japan and he took us back to our hotel. I can highly recommend Yuki as a tour guide and I‘m very glad he spent the day and his precious time with us. It was all to our complete satisfaction. We really enjoyed every moment of the day! Thank you very very much, Yuki! You‘re a really likable person and you did/do a great job!"

"Yuki helped us tailor a time and interest appropriate agenda; he reconfirmed our arrangements and kept us well informed in terms of meeting logistics. On the day of our private tour he arrived early to greet us and had planned all the transportation details, which included local trains, subways, and walking. We had agreed on visiting the Tokyo National Museum, where he skillfully guided us to see the the highlights of their collection. His knowledge of Japanese art and culture was very helpful in enhancing our experience. We then visited the fish market where we had requested a sushi lunch. He took us to an untouristy place where we thoroughly enjoyed a unique and excellent culinary adventure. We then went across town to visit a garden, which while a peaceful was less exciting than the rest of the day. We moved on to the excitement of the Shibuya Crossing where he explained the history and navigated us to the optimal spots where we could experience and photograph the melee of pedestrians. This ended our itinerary and he escorted us back to our hotel. We appreciated his knowledge, willingness to answer any and all of our questions on local culture and customs, and his polite demeanour. A single cautionary note would be to advise him of any physical limitations and degree of mobility so that you can jointly tailor an appropriate agenda. Overall, we had a wonderful day and felt we had had excellent value in this adventure and the selection of our guide. "

We enjoyed chatting with him about life in modern Japan and hearing him expand on the historical aspects of Nikko's sites. He was down to earth and considerate of my limited mobility. He was punctual, thoughtful and his English was more than adequate. We got to enjoy Nikko in a very special way, thanks to Yuki!"

"Yuki was very punctual, Informative, and wonderful to spend a day with in Kamakura. This was my first visit to Japan and to have someone for at least a day by our side showing us around was more than just a tour but great exposure to how things worked. Taught us about the shrines and temples as there is an etiquette that you need to know that brings life and respect to the places you visit as we would be visiting a lot during our week. Great to start with someone who knows first hand. Yuki has a clear English skills and very easy to speak with. Such a well spent and wonderful day. My wife was not the easiest to walk around with as she walks with a cane and Yuki was understanding and patient. I used my time to ask him about various things even unrelated to the tour and he was super helpful in me mastering a little more about my trip to Japan, Yuki and went the extra mile and helped us with out train passes for when later it was just my family going out to Kyoto on the Shinkansen . Since we had concerns about getting our luggage on the train he helped us get seats that were proper and even updated us that due to a storm our train would be delayed. He didn’t have to do that but was very considerate after the tour when he didn’t have to. Bravo! "

"Yuki did an excellent job guiding us through the one day "Hakone Memories" trip, starting from meeting us right in our lobby all the way to getting us back at the end of the day. Yuki was consistently knowledgeable about navigating the sometimes complicated travel conveyances. He adjusted our agenda based on weather and our preferences. When some members of our party used their IC Card instead of the Hakone Free Pass ticket at some of the ticket turnstiles, causing the IC Cards to be set to an error state, Yuki got everything straightened out. He made the whole experience seamless and carefree. We even got a momentary view of Mt. Fuji from the Shinkansen, despite most of the day being overcast. "I spent two separate half-days with Yuki as my guide in Yokohama. I requested a historical walking tour of Yokohama, which was not previously a set tour, but which Yuki took the time to research and design just for me. He went the extra mile to create easy to understand slides for me on his iPad that he would reveal at key locations and moments, which helped me more easily understand the history of Yokohama in particular, as well as the broader history of Japan. I recommend Yuki to anyone who wants to learn more about Yokohama's history (especially from the 1850's opening to foreign trade until the present), while visiting interesting sightseeing spots and historically important locations in the city. "We went to Mount Fuji with Yuki last week, and we are so glad we chose him as our guide! Before the trip, we messaged back and forth about the cost of bus vs. train, and Yuki did all of the research to let us know which would be more cost effective. Our hotel was in the Okubo area (not where most easy-to-get-to Shinjuku hotels are), and he willingly met us in the hotel lobby on the morning of the tour. Yuki led the way as soon as we met him. Japan's train/bus stations could get confusing at times, so it was nice to have someone who confidently got us to where we needed to be. Once we got to the Mount Fuji area, Yuki noticed that the clouds were blocking the view of the mountain, and suggested an alternative to what we had planned that day so that we would be able to see it. We drove to the other side of the mountain, and he was spot on. He took us to a beautiful non-touristy lake, where there was only 1 other family doing some sightseeing and one person fishing. The best part - we could clearly see Mount Fuji. If we didn't have Yuki, who expertly knew to go around the mountain, we wouldn't have gotten to see it, and that was our entire reason for visiting that area. Yuki went above and beyond, and we were very appreciate of his efforts. We also got to see the ice & wind caves & the kimono museum. While walking to the ice caves, rather than walking on the street, as most tourists seemed to be doing, Yuki took us on a nature walk through a beautiful forest. This made our walk to the ice caves much more enjoyable. Without Yuki, we wouldn't have known to take that route, so we are grateful to have had a guide who knew the special parts of the area that weren't filled with tourists. Also, Yuki has mastered the English language, so no need to worry about any language barriers if English is your native language. We were very impressed with Yuki and this tour. I wouldn't hesitate to book with him again if we go back to Japan. If you are looking for a friendly & knowledgeable guide, Yuki should definitely be your choice. "

"Kamakura is about an hour from Tokyo by train and makes for a great day trip. If you are interested in shrines, temples, and getting away from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo, I highly recommend Yuki's tour. We had a fantastic time, from pickup to drop off we were well taken care of. I'm so happy I opted for a private tour over a group bus tour. Yuki tailored the day to our interests. He is well informed and shared the history of Kamakura, proper etiquette when visiting these sacred grounds, as well as other helpful tidbits such as how to use Tokyo's train system (invaluable). We booked an extra hour in order to visit 4 sites - Kencho-Ji Temple, Hokoku-Ji Temple, Big Buddha, and Hasedera Temple, plus we had time for a nice leisurely lunch at a beautiful, authentic Japanese restaurant, Sorohana. As we made our way through Kamakura on foot, bus, and train, Yuki pointed out small bites for us to try. I’m a foodie so I appreciated the little treats I sampled throughout the day. All in all, it was a memorable time and I was happy with the service he provided. One thing to note, Japan has many transportation companies. We purchased a PASMO card for convenience. It made traveling around the greater Tokyo area easier without having to keep track of what train line we needed to take. Just reload as you go. We were told, any excess money is refundable when you leave. Luckily our balance was so low we didn’t bother going through the refund process. Foreigners have the option to purchase a multi-day subway pass good for the Metro and Toei Subway. It’s a great value and you will save money but it will not work for Kamakura or the “Japan Rail” which we took many times during our stay so for us, PASMO worked well. Oh, by the way, the ticket machines are cash only (yen). Thanks for the memories of Kamakura Yuki."

Good explanation of temple history and He even recommended a nice family restaurant for us that evening. Thank you so Much !! Stacy and Family "

"Yuki was very knowledgable and great at helping us navigate the fish market, explaining what everything meant and how things work here in Japan, and lots about the history of the place and the culture. Highly recommend a tour with him. He also took us to an incredible restaurant for lunch, which we'd never have found on our own. The quality of the sushi we ate was extremely high, and good value for what it was."

"Yuki was a great tour guide. He met us at our hotel and took us to the Meiji shrine, grand palace and Senso-ji as we wanted to see the highlights in our short time in Tokyo. As well as being informative about the places we visited he gave us hints and tips for our stay in japan, including navigating the subway system and how to activate our JR passes. He also took us to his favourite Ramen bar for lunch, which was fantastic, and introduced us to the impressive green tea ice cream shop (7 different versions based on tea strength - only the brave go for level 7). All in all a great day and wonderful introduction to Tokyo and Japan. Thank you Yuki! Susanne & David"

"My family and I really enjoyed our 2-day tour from Kyoto to Tokyo with Yuki -- and would definitely encourage others to consider this tour! Yuki made our experiences both extremely memorable and enjoyable, and he definitely created an awesome itinerary that showcased all of the highlights of Kyoto. From the get-go, he was very flexible and willing to tailor the tour to our particular interests, and he had very good ideas for exposing us to the Japanese culture. Upon our inquiry, he was even flexible enough to extend his usual one-day Kyoto itinerary to an overnight two-day itinerary, which was highly worth the additional cost. We were able to see everything on our list in an extremely short amount of time - from shrines and temples to beautiful Japanese gardens, the bamboo forest, and even a castle! He also took us to fantastic places for lunch both days (ask him about the rotating sushi bar restaurant at Kyoto station!) and was very accommodating to make sure that he suggested restaurants according to our food preferences. And he even initiated taking pictures of us throughout the tour and sent them to us afterwards, which was very nice and unexpected. Throughout our interactions with him, Yuki was always very pleasant and polite, and he was extremely professional and well-organized. He was also always prompt in responding to us during our communications before and after the tour, and he was very punctual for all meeting times. He even picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel, so that we never had to navigate around the city alone. Because Yuki was willing to extend his typical 1-day Kyoto tour into an overnight 2-day tour of Kyoto, we were able to experience more of Kyoto and even enjoy the city during the evening. Yuki is very knowledgeable about Kyoto; not only does he know how to navigate the city from site to site, but he also knew of special experiences and things to do that we would not have known about on our own. For instance, Yuki took us to an incredibly special Japanese performing arts show that only takes place in the evening in Gion, and we were able to see real Maiko/Geiko (or Geisha) performing arts such as traditional Japanese flower arranging and a traditional Japanese tea ceremony. He also suggested a very interesting Japanese restaurant with an authentic Japanese-coursed meal that is typical of Kyoto - we even got to experience traditional tatami-style dining, where everyone takes their shoes off and sits on the floor on a tatami mat, overlooking the beautiful river and the famous Gion district (where we also got to do a little bit of shopping earlier in the evening, after the theater show!). It was truly an unforgettable experience! There is no way that we would have been able to see as much of Kyoto in such a short time if Yuki wasn't there to guide us around. He was very good at navigating us through the subways, trains, and buses all around Kyoto (and even in Tokyo on the way to Kyoto), which would have been very confusing for us to try and do on our own. Yuki is also very cautious to be clear about all expenses involved. He was very up-front about all costs, and he always offered the most economical options he could find. In fact, his price for the whole tour was extremely reasonable and was definitely a deciding factor in our decision to go to Kyoto even though we had such limited time in Japan. And now that it's all said and done, we can't imagine our time in Japan without having taken this tour to Kyoto. We had so much fun and are extremely thankful for this once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we would definitely recommend Yuki to others! Thank you Yuki!"

"My colleagues and I, all Kumon instructors had a wonderful day in Kamakura with Yuki. Yuki is warm, intelligent and knowledgeable guide also very flexible and accommodating. He kindly greeted us at our hotel in Yokohama despite a little snow and used public transport to and in Kamakura to save time. We visited the the great Buddha of Kamakura known for his Handsome Face, Hasedera temple from where you can also have a view over Kamakura city and the ocean, Hokokuji temple with the highlight of enjoying green tea in the peaceful, serene Bamboo forest, Hachimangu shrine where a wedding was taking place looked magical in the snow. He also took us to a local restaurant for a delicious home cooked meal with vegetarian choices and as a surprise took us to try out local sweet desserts. We really had a wonderful wintery day with Yuki. Thank you Yuki. We highly recommend Yuki to maximise your time in Japan and at the same time learn more about the places you visit. "

"My 11 year old son and I began our trip in Tokyo with Yuki-san. We started the day taking the shinkansen out of Shinagawa Station and taking the local train once in Kyoto to the Fushimi Shrine. We did the Miyabi Tour. We followed the course and had lunch at a delicious tonkatsu restaurant that Yuki-san found for us because of my picky 11 year old eater. The most memorable site for us was the Kinkaku Temple late afternoon. The sunset hit the temple just right and it shone in its beautiful gold color. We were back in Tokyo by 8 p.m. Originally, I thought the 12 hour trip would be too much for my son. Not at all. Time flew by and we were not tired, one bit. My son said, "I want to take another tour with Yuki-san when we come back to Japan". I agree, I highly recommend him. Very knowledgeable, timely, efficient and makes traveling very easy. We will tour once again with Yuki-san when we return to Japan. Thank you so much, Yuki-san! "

"Yuki did an excellent job showing up around Meiji shrine and Senso-Ji temple as well as taking us on a day trip to Hakone to view Mt.Fuji (includes many different forms of transportation). He was very helpful with helping us navigate the metro, trains, buses particularly with having a stroller and needing to use elevators at times. He was also very patient with our almost 5 year old who was holding Yuki’s hand by the end of the tour. "

"If you want to make the most of a short visit, I highly recommend hiring Yuki. This was my first trip to Tokyo and of course wanted to see everything, which is ridiculous. Yuki patiently fielded my many requests and crafted an itinerary that let me sample places I was most interested in. He kept us moving along on schedule, though I never felt pressured and enjoyed my time. He also took me on short detours that gave me a more local perspective. An intelligent and charming travel companion, Yuki sports a dapper homburg that is easy to spot in a crowd. I could never have accomplished this visit by myself. Thank you Yuki for an enjoyable introduction to this amazing metropolis!"

"Yuki is a wonderful, warm, and very knowledgeable tour guide. He took us on a day trip to the historical coastal town of Kamakura which is a village dating back to Yoritomo’s shogunate government in 1192. Kamakura lies amid wooded hills filled with ancient Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines. Yuki took us to see the amazing Great Buddha, beautiful Hasedera Temple, and the Hokokuji Temple with an interesting serene bamboo garden. Along the way Akira told us history and stories of the temples and the Goddess of Mercy (Kannon). We also had a delicious lunch treat at a local restaurant with home cooked meal. We really enjoyed our lovely Fall weather day trip in Kamakura with Yuki. Thank you very much, Yuki! "

"Extremely thorough and well planned. We would highly recommend Yuki to anyone visiting Japan. Yuki made our first Tokyo and Yokohama experience so enjoyable, allowing us to navigate our desired locations without having to stress about the confusing train routes, signs, language issues, etc. He also found us popular-priced wonderful restaurants that we all enjoyed. He also helped us buy tickets for the high-speed rail line, making the purchase process much easier for us."

"My family and I had a wonderful day with Yuki seeing the three main sights of Tokyo that we were keen to visit: Meiji Shrine, Imperial Palace East Garden and Senso-Ji Temple. Yuki kindly greeted us at our Disney Resort hotel and helped us with our tickets and train choices throughout the day, and ensured we finished the day on the correct train back to Maihama. Although we were a little slow due to sore feet and blisters from a few prior busy days at Disneyland and Sea, Yuki allowed for this and made sure he minimised the additional miles that can come with walking tours. He had a very calming demeanour and was really quite knowledgeable about the history of the places we visited, and our ramen lunch was excellent. Thanks again to Yuki, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him for a great day of touring. "

We were not certain about our plans, but Yuki reserved time for us even before booking giving the opportunity to finalize our itinerary. He also helped us to decide on the attractions to visit during 1st day in the city, and gave a lot of tips on how to get to other spots we are planning to visit on our own. This is definitely the way to go if it's your 1st time in Tokyo, and you want to learn more about culture and history of the places you visit. "We spent five days in Tokyo after a cruise, and two of those days were spent with Yuki. We were extremely pleased with our experience, and highly recommend both TripleLights and Yuki. We initially had booked a private tour for one day, but since the experience of booking through TripleLights was so easy we later added a second day. While we did have several requests, we also told Yuki about our general interests. With our interests in mind he designed a custom itinerary. For example, we are interested in gardens, so in addition to the Shinjuku-Gyoen garden he added both the Koishikawa-Korakuen and Kiyosumi Gardens. My husband is a geologist, and the addition of the Kiyosumi Garden (which has a collection of boulders collected from around Japan) was a special treat. While I am not a shopper I did want to purchase a set of chopsticks and chopstick rests, and Yuki knew where the two chopstick shops in Asakusa are located so we didn't waste time searching stall after stall for chopsticks. Yuki met us at our hotel, and we were off on our adventure. Yuki speaks excellent English as he worked for a time in the United States. He was extremely knowledgeable about the various sites we visited, and also has an i-Pad loaded with additional information such as historic photos and old maps of various sites. Yuki loaned us subway/train transportation cards, so our first stop was to pre-purchase transportation onto the cards. We used public transportation to efficiently move through the city. His guidance through the myriad subway connections to reach our various tour sites saved us hours if we had been trying to maneuver multiple stops through the system alone. We were also pleased with his lunch restaurants recommendations. Both restaurants were popular with locals, had excellent food, and were not ones we would have found on our own. In summary, we found the experience with Yuki excellent. TripleLights provided an excellent value, and allowed us to efficiently visit a number of sites. We enjoyed our cruise around Japan and our time post-cruise in Tokyo so much that we plan to return. We will definitely be using TripleLights again, and hope that Mr. Yuki will again be available. "

"We took the tour of Hakone with Yuki on Oct 4, 2018. It was a cloudy day with little amount of rain hence we were not able to see Mount FUji. Mr. Yuki had already informed us about it but still we went ahead with the trip. We saw the Hakone Open Air museum, Gora Park, Ropeway to see the volcanic valley and tour of Lake Ashi. The trip was well organised and paced with Mr. Yuki, though we were lagging behind in time in our trip but still Mr. Yuki planned our trip in such a way that we did not miss out on seeing any sight seeing places and enjoyed our trip to Hakone even if we could not see Mount Fuji."

He took us.It involved train, connections, elevators, a maze of stores but he got us there without hesitation or complaint. It made my son's trip. "Wen we were hit by a heavy rain, Yuki readjusted our schedule so that we were out of the weather while travelling to our next destination, then picked up our original route once the rain stopped. "Yuki has mastered the art of making a first time tourist feel Welcomed and Comfortable in many parts of Japan. We went to the Tsukiji fish market which could have been a crowded maze without the knowledge and skill of Yuki. He taught us about the fish, the skill of the butchers and then we went to a local restaurant where we felt like family and ate the best sushi we ever had. The second tour was a 12 hour tour ,Tokyo to Kyoto. WOW We traveled the Shinkansen (bullet train) ,went to the 1001 Buddhas temple (Sanjusangendo) and to the Fushimi Inari Shrine. He explained the hand washing ritual and guided us thru the proper protocol, Yuri even took the time on the way home to provide a history lesson to my son and I regarding both Religion and history of the Japanese culture. He is both competent, engaging, and went at our pace. We then toured the Gion area and ate lunch at another local Japanese curry restaurant which also had many new flavors that we would never have experienced. I also have to add we came to Tokyo the week of the Typhoon , so navigating these tours was a feat in itself ! My family WILL come back to Japan and WILL most certainly have Yuki guide us again in our adventures ! 5 star service ...:)"

"Yuki is professional, experienced and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Japan especially Tokyo and it's surrounding area. He was early meeting us at our hotel each day (a blessing to be met at the hotel) and helped us navigate the detailed transportation system of Japan, even helping us validate our Jr train passes, showing us how to reserve trains, store luggage, plan and use the various passes and tickets on our own. We felt his personal attention even in the most crowed temples and shrines so we never felt overwhelmed. It was very hot when we visited and he knew just when to have us duck into air-conditioned museums between outdoor activities to get a cool, educational break. His English is good. He even helped us shop for some specific items we wanted along the way, without sacrificing our touring time. He took us to local places to eat and explained the food and how local's eat per our choices. We especially enjoyed out day trip to Hakone where the air was fresh. Mt. Fuji was cloud covered, but the many different types of trains, trams, boats, ropeways and mountain trains (all explained by Yuki) as well as the beautiful scenery made our day amazing. He was quick to answer all inquires before our visit, helping us choose our itinerary in just the right order to maximise our time, even sending us notes on how to get to the hotel from the airport."

He called the ryokan when we first arrived and arranged to have them pick up our bags, and again at the end of the day of siteseeing to pick us up. Everything worked perfectly. Yuki is a calm and expert guide, and was patient with us and all the kids explaining the highlights and allowing us to dictate the pace of the day. He took us on the typical circle route around the Hakone area but in a reverse order to minimize crowds and match our schedule better. It was a great day. Thank you!"

"Me and my friend booked Yuki for a day where I asked him to choose the places to go, it was pouring down rain which he took into consideration and was super flexible and helpful with anything we needed. He speaks excellent english and gave us small presentations on an ipad when visiting sites. For a true authentic experience make sure to book our friend Yuki :) "

"We spent 2 days with Yuki in Tokyo. Prior to our time together, he had great suggestions for sights to see and was very quick to reply. In Tokyo, he was very organized, informative and flexible with the needs of the 3 of us who are 15, 42 and 77. It is difficult to meet the needs of a wide range of ages, but he was abile to do so easily. We highly recommend Yuki. You will be thankful you booked him. "

"Yuki was an amazing guide. We saw so much in one day. He planned everything perfectly, and even contacted us because of weather changes to see if we could go a day earlier because the forecast called for rain. He took us to the most amazing viewpoints to see Mt. Fuji. kept us on schedule and made sure we saw all of the sights in one day. We loved it all, and he made it a fantastic stress-free adventure. "

The knowledge he shared with me allowed me to navigate through the metro line, instead of using taxis, on my last day in japan by myself, which saved me money. Nothing but positive remarks. "

"Our family of three, including our adult son who was able to join us, thoroughly enjoyed the historical, cultural and horticultural insights provided by Yuki as he guided us through several principal Tokyo areas we had requested: Imperial Palace East Gardens, Meiji Jingu shrine, and Sinso-ji Temple with walk through the immediate Asakusa shopping street (our request). These important sites with his insights helped our better understanding of Tokyo's rich cultural heritage. Yuki was a fount of information as we asked many questions. He was well organized with a great, personally prepared guide on his ipad that he shared. As lunch time approached, he introduced us to a wonderful udon noodle restaurant. In addition, we asked about sights we planned to tour on our own. He gave us much reassuring advice. Moreover, he met us at our hotel and saw that we safely returned there. We would heartily recommend Yuki to others! Thank you, Yuki. "

We had tempura at a small neighborhood restaurant, which was like a 5 start restaurant. The best tempura I have had. "Yuki was wonderful. He was well prepared, answered all my questions by email and was prompt. We had a wonderful day exploring Kyoto and visiting the top sites. I know we would not have been able to see as much if we had done it ourselves. He met us at our hotel in Tokyo, helped us get the bullet train tickets at a discount, then helped navigate us through the sites we wanted to see in Kyoto ( bamboo forest, Toriii gates, golden temple). He added the Buddha temple for us and it was wonderful. We had homemade Kyoto cuisine at a local restaurant which was just perfect for our cultural experience. He then took us back to Tokyo on the bullet train. He also gave us some background and history of the shrines and temples with illustrations on his ipad. We had an amazing time and would do it again in a heartbeat. THANK YOU YUKI!!!"

"Yuki was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable of the history and culture of Japan. He had great visuals on his iPad that he showed us throughout the day to give us more detail about the history and locations we were visiting. He lent us a bus card that we added money to so that we could get to our locations faster. This meant that we had more time to visit once we arrived. We did up taking the wrong bus on accident, but he threw in an extra tour of one of the temples to make up for it. Overall, Yuki was a very knowledgeable guide and I would highly recommend him for your tour!"

Since this was our first visit to Japan, it was great having an experienced guide like Yuki to help us navigate the rail and subway systems, and provide us with excellent descriptions and facts about all the places we visited. Moreover Yuki is very friendly and communicates well with people of all ages. Yuki got very high approvals from both my 11 year old son, and my mother who is in here 70’s. "Mr Yuki was a substitute guide who took over somebody whose services I booked much earlier but couldn't make it on the appointed date. I am thankful that TripleLights asked the very experienced Mr Yuki to bring us to our desired sites in Tokyo. He was very accommodating, too. He knew how much I wanted to revisit the spot near the Imperial Gardens with my daughter who was in my womb when I had a photo taken in that particular place 30 years ago. And, he found time for us to find that particular spot. If only for this, I am so grateful to Mr.Yuki. "

"Our most excellent guide Yuki was with us on two days. Taking us to points of interest not covered by our regular tour company. One of our tours was a larger than normal group (14) on a 7 hour Tokyo Samurai and Ameyoko tour. The other centered around a trip to the Owl cafe, which was fantastic in that we were allowed to visit 12 species of owls who were well cared for, up close and personal. Yuki's English was very fluent and he guided us trough various trains to destinations with ease and care. To make the most of our limited time, he purchased our tickets in advance. We benefited from his extensive knowledge, his sense if anticipation and fine amiability.. We would look forward to having Yuki as a guide again when we come extraordinary Japan another time. Yes. we would recommend him to others without reservation. Note: The Samurai Museum was fun and informative but would have loved more details about their lives. Wonderful Samurai armor collection with narratives though out the museum with a docent. Ameyoko had plenty of choices for street food and dinner. The large oysters at a fish stand were ultra fresh, pleasantly briny and delicious. Very reasonable at 5 for 1000 jpy. My husband who does not do fish had a satisfying and tasty noodle bowl for just a few jpys. Eating on the cheap is doable and delicious in Japan. "

"I cannot even begin how excellent Yuki was as my tour expert in Tokyo for three days. Coming to Japan as a first-timer, I was nervous about navigating the Tokyo's public transportation systems and taking in a culture I have never personally been immersed in. Through going around Tokyo with Yuki, I was not only able to overcome the initial anxiety, but also gain a new perspective on Japan that I would otherwise have missed out on had I went alone. Yuki was an excellent communicator, took into account my interests in improving my proposed itinerary and made sure that every spot we visited was supplemented with interesting information and historical background. Yuki made sure that I was not only enjoying the stops as a tourist experience, but also see each attraction through the lens of society and culture. It is also worth mentioning that Yuki went above and beyond for me to make sure that I got back to my hotel safely, took correct public transportation and have my souvenirs mailed to the USA via EMS. Yuki's outstanding dedication to ensure that I have a seamless travel experience is something I have never seen anywhere else. I am beyond grateful for his concern and compassion. I came to love Tokyo a lot more than what I was expecting, and Yuki made sure that you walked away from the tour realizing how great Japan and its people are. If you are looking to visiting Japan, you can never go wrong with Yuki."

"Our trip to Tokyo was a rainy one. Instead of going to Hakone with Yuki, he advised us to cancel it because of rain, thus we pushed thru to Kamakura. Yuki was a very nice guide. He showed us the interesting things in Kamakura, and he can also really walk too! He was there to guide us in taking the trains to reach our points of interests. We would have wanted a more informative guide, as Yuki was not as informative in the history of Kamakura as we would've liked. Although the gallery told of the history of the Kanon, it is still diffetent coming from your guide and also the shogun era of Japan. Overall, it was an okay experience to Kamakura. "We enjoyed a fantastic day tour from Tokyo to Kamakura with Yuki. He was professional but warm and friendly. He is also very high energy. His English and knowledge of various cultures/religions is excellent. In addition to his clear verbal explanations, he carries an iPad pre-loaded with photos, diagrams and other reference info to quickly assist his guests in their understanding of the various points of interest. We felt that was quite helpful. We had a few email exchanges before we arrived in Tokyo so he could plan our tour for what we wanted to see most. Much of it was left to his discretion since he is the expert. For example, he arranged the timing to take the large Sunday crowds into consideration. We either walked or took the subway. The tour was well-planned for the most efficient use of time. We saw all of the major hightlights including the large Buddha and many shrines, gardens, and temples. We also meandered through a few little shops along the way when it started to rain. (The rain was no problem at all.) Lunch was in a small noodle shop- just perfect! Later, we toured a new, ultra-modern shopping center near Tokyo Station. Very interesting! Thank you, Yuki-san for our wonderful day. When we come back to Japan, we will be sure to find you again. "We did a day trip to Harkone with Yuki. The day was excellent and we go to do lots of different things. We added an extra couple a few days before the trip. The only thing was the itinerary that Yuki gave me was not the one we did on the day. My partner and I really wanted to do a tea ceremony and i explained several times that this was the highest priority. On the train to Harkone Yuki explained all the different things we can do and i reminded him this was the most important. By mid afternoon i asked about the tea ceremony and where we were doing it and he told me it was too late and we were going to miss out. The first half of the day was great but after that we seemed to be running late for everything and rushed through. When we got to the area with the black eggs we had literally 5 mins to look around and then jump on a bus. I feel like the day should have been better planned out and Yuki should have explained if we do one thing we can't do another. He also changed the start time of the day the night before. "

"This was our first trip to Japan and we hired Yuki for three full days of touring us around Tokyo. He came to our apartment on time each morning to pick us up and took us to our planned events for the day. He even helped pick restaurants that suited our dietary needs. He also made sure we returned to our apartment without getting lost. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend Yuki for anything you plan to do in Tokyo. "

"We spent 3 days with Yuki in Tokyo. We were lucky to see Mt. Fuji from Lake Kawaguchi when the clouds lifted. What a spectacular sight! We visited the East Garden of the Imperial Palace, and Yuki was very informative about Japanese history as we walked the area. We also visited the Samurai Museum, Meiji Shrine, and Sengakuji Temple. The Tsukiji sushi lunch was the best! During the planning process for these 3 days, Yuki was very helpful, flexible, and accommodating. He responded to my questions promptly and even went out of his way to find a specialty nori for us. Thank you, Yuki, for showing us Tokyo and Lake Kawaguchi. "

"Yuki is very kind and personal in his approach of the tour. He kindly accompany us to the doctor due to my son's allergy before going to the proper tour. It was very personal and accommodating and we greatly appreciate it. His knowledge of the places to go in our limited time in Tokyo helped us appreciate the beauty and culture of Japan."

"Yuki was meticulously prepared for our day trip to Hakone with our 1 year-old daughter. He had thought ahead of where we could stop and take our time so she could sleep etc. The tour itself was great fun, with Yuki sharing the history of Hakone, Lake Ashinoko, Mt Fuji and the surrounds. We had time to explore both of the cable cars/ropeways and take some fantastic photos of Mt Fuji. We highly recommend Yuki as a tour guide"

"Yuki was very helpful in guiding us to visit Hakone to see Mount Fuji. Although the weather conditions prevented us from going on the monorail or boat, he had a backup plan which still allowed us to see a great view of Fuji from the Japanese Painting Museum. He went out of his way to reserve a restaurant for us for dinner and made it easy to find our way around and book transportation for the the trip. I would definitely recommend booking with Yuki if you would like someone who is friendly, well-mannered and considerate of your needs. "

"Thank you Yuki san for making our Mt Fuji trip so memorable. As a first time visitor of Tokyo, Yuki took care of everything and all we had to do was show up at the lobby. Learning what we wanted to do and see, Yuki was very accommodating and even suggested other things we could do whilst in Tokyo, getting the details for us. Without these tips we could have missed more! Thank you Yuki, I'll look you up again when I visit Tokyo next time! "

"Mr. Yuki did a great job customizing a tour for us. A week prior to our trip, we decided on three spots together based on our interests. Mr. Yuki replied to his emails almost immediately, which made this process so much easier. At the last minute, we had to change our meeting location but Mr. Yuki was very understanding. He lent us subway cards for the day which made traveling between sites so much easier. We weren't familiar with Japanese traditions at all. He did a great job explaining Japan's history, customs and traditions. He was very knowledgeable. He patiently answered all of the questions we had about Japan. This was an all day tour and we had a lot of questions! Also, we wanted to have lunch specifically at the Palace Hotel and he was very accommodating about that too. At the end of the tour, I felt that we learned more about Tokyo than we could have ever figured out ourselves by going to the sites with just a travel book. We definitely recommend Mr. Yuki. We only had one day to spend in Tokyo, but he made sure that day was spent productively. "

"We did two tours with Yuki and he was great for both. Yuki was very patient and accommodating as we shopped - our favorite thing to do. He customized our tours according to our preferences and even took us to places not included on his regular tour. We enjoyed his company so much that by the second day, Yuki felt like part of our family. Thanks, Yuki. Hope you enjoyed the chocolate macadamia nut treats from Hawaii!"

"We hired Yuki to meet us at Haneda Airport and help us navigate the public transit system to our AirBnB. He helped us get settled, purchase public transit cards, and reviewed our itinerary so that we would know how to get around for the remainder of our trip. He also helped us make reservations and picked up tickets for us for later in our trip. He also took us to a few tourist locations. Meeting with Yuki on our first day made us feel comfortable and settled in for the rest of the trip. "

He was very well prepared, explaining everything to us in great english and had additional info/pictures on his ipad. He was also a pretty speedy walker which was great for us! I will definitely recommend Yuki's tours to anyone. Thanks for the wonderful time Yuki! Hope to see you again soon!"

"Yuki-san knows a great deal of history concerning the Imperial Palace and the area surrounding it. He strives to inform clients of the most interesting aspects of each area within Palace grounds. Also, whenever photos are taken, he will immediately forward them to his clients via e-mail. We had a great experience with him today. "

"We had a nice trip to Hakone with Yuki. He made sure we managed to get on all the rides we wanted before sunset. We wouldn't have been able to achieve that on our own as it was winter and the sun sets much earlier. Yuki is a responsible and helpful guide."

"Yuki's tour was a perfect way to start off my first trip to Japan. Becoming familiar with the train system with Yuki saved a ton of time and made the rest of my travels easier. We saw some great sights in Tokyo and had the best sashimi I've tried at Tsukiji market. Yuki's english is excellent and he was very flexible+helpful with deciding on destinations. "

"My family hired Yuki for 3.5 days to see Tokyo and Hakone. We are very sophisticated world travelers and have used many guides over the years. Yuki was perhaps the most warm, flexible, and accomadating guide we have had. He is very knowledgable about Japanese history and the sights. He was superb with my two children, both who became very fond of him. It was a great help having him help us quickly navigate the subways and trains. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you Yuki!"

"Yuki san was an excellent tour guide. We had to move the time from 10am to 10.30am as we had just arrived from Kyoto. He offered to help get us an ICOCA card for subways(We declined as it was our last day in Japan). He not only explained the history of the places we visited but the customs that are followed and showed us more pictures and videos on his Ipad. His explanations were very informative. He showed my parents to an Indian restaurant and accompanied me and my brother to an excellent ramen restaurant. All in all very accommodating. He also went the extra mile when we wanted to buy a bag for cheap for all our souvenirs, he talked to people and found us a discount shop. And in the end he came along with us till our hotel. It was an excellent tour. Thank you Yuki san for a wonderful day."

"My colleague and I had just about 24 hours to see as much of Tokyo as we could. Having never been to Asia before, we were a bit unsure of the best way to navigate the city and to see the many sites. Yuki was terrific! He guided us quickly through the subway system and through the crowds. His knowledge of the city, history, and Tokyo "must sees" was tremendous. Yuki tailored his tour to our "wishlist" and made additional recommendations. I would most definitely use Yuki again the next time I visit Tokyo to see the places we missed due to our time constraints. He was the best!"

"We had a full day tour with Yuki. He took us around Tokyo via Metro. It was lot of walking, a lot of Metro stops. Yuki had to rearrange our itinerary for late take off (due to the size of our group of 15 including 3 toddlers). We visited the Sengakuji Temple, which included the graves of the 47 Ronin. The kids experienced offering some incense at each grave. There were a few souvenir stores in the area. We headed to Tsukiji market for lunch. Yuki made a reservation and pre-ordered. This allowed for a very relaxing lunch despite the size of our group. The food was reasonably priced and the sushi was excellent. We were able to walk around the market and purchase some Tamago and other food stuff and more souvenirs. We headed to the Imperial Palace Gardens and saw the Iris garden, a tea house, the ninja house and the samurai house. Due to the insistence of our young travellers, we rushed to the Sumida River cruise and made it on the last boat. We relaxed on the boat to Asakusa with sights and some on board refreshments. Yuki accompanied us back to our hotel and even helped us book our airport car service. Yuki spoke good english and was very accommodating. He took us to sights we had requested to see (which we picked since we had done the usual city tours and shrines on our previous trips). These private tours are better for smaller groups, so everyone can benefit from the conversation with the guide. I would call Yuki again on our next trip. I would also recommend first timers take a private guide to the more popular sights. They share a lot of insight about Japanese culture and customs."

"We booked the tour with Yuki the night before the day we were in Tokyo, so it was very last minute. However, Yuki responded promptly and was very kind to help us. The tour was very nice. He took us to beautiful places, he was very well prepared, talking to us about everything in perfect English and with additional info/pictures on his ipad. He was very helpful to guide us around Tokyo. We were very pleased with this experience! It really makes a difference to walk around with someone that knows the place than do it on your own, and at a very affordable price! We would really recommend him! Thank you for everything Yuki! "
